Highlights:

☑️The plenary tackled sixteen (16) resolutions for today’s session.

☑️The following BTA-Parliament Bills were also tackled on the first reading: Bill No. 42 establishing a Bangsamoro Inter-Tribal Commission, Bill No. 77 appropriating a buffer of replenishable funds to defray the payment of salaries and remunerations of nationally funded health workers, Bill No. 79 upgrading the Wao District Hospital in Lanao del Sur from Level 1 to Level 2, Bill No. 80, recognizing Bangsamoro holidays, Bill No. 81 prioritizing the establishment of the Bangsamoro agriculture and fisheries training institute, Bill No. 81 creating the Liguasan Marsh Management Commission, Bill No. 83 implementing the people’s right to information in the Bangsamoro, Bill No. 84 creating the Seaweed Industry Development Authority, and Bill No. 85 institutionalizing barter trade in the Bangsamoro Region.

☑️Proposed Resolution No. 387 directing the Marawi Rehabilitation Program – program Steering Committee (MRP-PSC) and relevant ministries to provide and present an official report to the Bangsamoro Parliament regarding the implementation programs for Marawi City and its constituents, authored by MP Maisara Latiph, was referred to the Special Committee on Marawi.

☑️Proposed Resolution No. 356 commending Al-Basher Buto, the young Bangsamoro chess prodigy, as well as providing support for his future development was treated as a simple resolution and tackled by the plenary.

☑️During the period of interpellation, MP Maisara Latiph shared her experiences with the family of Al-Basher when her office provided support to the family, and how his parents expressed worry at whether or not he will be able to finish his formal schooling.

☑️During the period of amendments, MP Maisara Latiph along with other MPs proposed amendments that would make it so all kinds of support such as financial and educational support could be given to the chess prodigy. A copy of the resolution would also be given to the Bangsamoro Youth Commission, Bangsamoro Sports Commission, and the Ministry of Basic, Higher, and Technical Education.

☑️The plenary approved PR No. 356 with its accompanying amendments.
