May 25, 2022 | The Office of MP Atty. Maisara Dandamun-Latiph, through the Women Sectoral Representative, Hassana H. Malic, attended and participated in the HWPL’s 9th Annual Commemoration of the Declaration of World Peace with the theme “Institutionalizing Peace: Realizing the Collective Will for Peace” conducted by the International Women’s Peace Group (IWPG).
The IWPG is still in the process of expanding various forms of international cooperation with the hopes of ending conflicts and disputes and also achieving sustainable peace in all countries in the world. The event was hoping to provide some understanding of how to act on the collective will for peace in the world.
“IWPG will continue to create a world that commemorates peace, rather than commemorating war, in order to spread a culture of long-lasting peace. In order for a tree to grow, it must first have a small seed. Begin with a small step and work your way up to a larger one. Today, we planted the seeds of peace in cooperation with HWPL, IPYG, and everyone”. —WPG Chairwoman
Together, let’s contribute to even the simplest thing we could do as a human being. Remember that there’s no small thing in taking action to achieve world peace.
Attendees were from different organizations, agencies, and offices around the world.
