READ | POLICY BRIEF No. 4 entitled, “The right of all the IDPs to a sustainable livelihood program”
The Office of MP Atty. Maisara C. Dandamun-Latiph crafted policy briefs that will hopefully serve as a reference for policy and decision makers in the ministries, agencies and offices as well as non-government organizations in BARMM. The contents of these policy briefs are derived from almost a year of field work and communicating with communities of our Sectoral Representatives (SRs).
This policy brief on the right of IDPs to sustainable livelihood emanates from the harsh realities the Marawi IDPs have been facing since the Marawi Siege in May 2017. Prepared by our vey own Marawi IDPs Sectoral Representative Sittie Johara Pacalundo-Mamacotao who is an IDP and young leader herself, we hope policy makers and local leaders take heed and consider the recommendation in their other programs, too.
Through these policy briefs, our hope is to contribute to a better and efficient government and provision of services responsive to the needs of the Bangsamoro People.
