The Office of MP Atty. Maisara Dandamun-Latiph joins the celebration of Protection and Gender-Fair Treatment of the Girl Child Week.
This is under the Proclamation No. 759: Declaring the Fourth Week of March 1996 which aims that every Girl Child who is below 18 years of age should be provided with equal opportunities and adequate protection to prepare her for her role in community development, signed on March 6, 1996, by then President Fidel Ramos.
This year’s celebration bears the theme, “Batang Babae: Kasama at Katuwang ng Pagbabago sa Komunidad.”
Our children are the most valuable resource in our country and its best hope for the future, before they can be responsible and ideal youth, we need to guide and mold them in their early years to help them become the best version of their selves. As we continue to support and advocate for children’s rights, we are working hand in hand to make sure that our children should be prioritized and included in the programs, budgets, and activities of the Government to improve their lives and welfare. We give importance to them because they are the hope of the next generation. By helping them, we are helping our future.
