The draft internal rules of the BTA’s Committee on Ways and Means were approved

JUNE 15, 2022| Bangsamoro Transition Authority Parliament Member Atty. Maisara C. Dandamun-Latiph personally attended the Committee on Ways and Means meeting today at the Bangsamoro Parliament Building-Executive Lounge, Bangsamoro Government Center, Cotabato City.

The draft internal rules of the BTA’s Committee on Ways and Means were approved.

The BTA has set up a committee to scrutinise the government’s operations in the region as part of its post-legislative scrutiny.

The Committee is also tasked with advising the BTA on all matters directly and principally related to income, revenues, taxes, fees, loans, and borrowings.

The rules of procedure for the said committee shall be administered impartially. The following rights, privileges, and obligations apply to all members of this Committee: The right to a full and free debate and discussion of motions presented before hearings and meetings, subject to the allotted minutes per member, to access all the minutes and journals of committee meetings and hearings.

MP Paisalin Tago, chairperson of the committee on ways and means, presided over the meeting.

Other members of the committee also attended personally and via zoom.
