December 02, 2021 | The Blue Ribbon Committee of the Bangsamoro Transition Authority conducted its first Committee Meeting held at BTA-Executive Lounge. 3 members attended physically, while 14 attended via virtual zoom.
The meeting was presided by the Chairman of the Committee Atty. Lanang Ali, Jr. According to him, the committee has its separate own internal rules on how to conduct their meetings. Based on the website of the House of Representatives and Senate of the Philippines, it is the most powerful Congressional committee, investigating alleged criminal misconduct by the government, and has the power to send people to jail if they are not cooperating with the committee.
It was agreed by the Committee to create the internal rules and MP Atty. Maisara C. Dandamun-Latiph was elected to spearhead as the Chairman of the Research Team of the Blue Ribbon Committee, and Atty. Anna Tarhata S. Basman as the Vice-Chairman.
The following members were elected as the Vice-Chairpersons of the Committee: MP Engr. Baintan A. Ampatuan, MP Khadafey G. Mangudadatu, Abdullah B. Hashim, and Atty. Paisalin P. Tago.
