The Bangsamoro Parliament urged the Philippine Congress to create Shari’a Courts outside the territorial jurisdiction of BARMM

In an approved resolution, the Bangsamoro Parliament urged the Philippine Congress to create and establish Shari’a Courts outside the territorial jurisdiction of BARMM.

The Parliament also adopted a resolution expressing support to the call of the internally displaced persons to return to their respective properties in Marawi’s most affected areas.

Another measure passed was urging all ministries, offices, and local government units, as well as private establishments, to ensure that national occupational safety and health standards are followed in the workplace.

Members of the Parliament has also condemned the public humiliation of six women who had their heads shaved in Maguindanao. The resolution explained that the victims had shown signs of trauma because of the incident.

One bill entered on the first reading, and a total of five bills were discussed on the second reading.

Meanwhile, before the session resumed, Albakil Dasani Jikiri took his oath of office as the newest addition to the members of the Bangsamoro Parliament. (Publication and Media Relations Division)
