In behalf of my office Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA), we are extremely grateful for the hard work, effort and the heroic risks that you our health workers undertake daily to help save lives in our community.
Your work in preventing, controlling and treating many members of the community of Tuberculosis, down from the Barangay in this time of Covid-19 pandemic and your compassion is inspiring.
Now that we are slowly moving away towards the new normal, let us reinforce the lessons learned over the successive lockdowns like the behaviors developed on frequent handwashing, wearing of masks outside residence, and social distancing. These actions has proven to lessen or slowdown the spread of covid19. Until a vaccine has been discovered and administered, we need to make this behavior second nature to our populace.
Covid-19 has changed us completely. Instead of resisting change, we must embrace and learn to creatively live with this pandemic. This means that our communities must likewise embrace the concept that we cannot go back to the way things were. In order to survive, all of us must act together, with one voice and one mind. We must also live in harmony with nature. This pandemic has shown us that we can better take care of our environment, ourselves and family.
We can achieve more when we communicate, plan and work together in partnerships for the well-being of our people especially those who are vulnerable and at-risk.
We thank the USAID for their generous support to the Philippines in the fight against TB and also this time of pandemic. The TB Platform that URC is implementing is one way of eradicating the scourge of TB in our communities.
We also thank the Local Government as well as the Regional Government for supporting our efforts in overcoming the threat of TB and pandemic. May we continue to promote and protect the health and well-being of the members of our community.
