6 January 2020 – MP Atty. Maisara C. Dandamun-Latiph personally turned over 205 family food packs consisting of 5 Kilos of rice and food and non-food grocery items to families in Santiago City, Isabela Province affected by Typhoon Ulyssess and Covid-19.
Aslea Maguindanao Chairperson of Muslimah Traders Organization for Peace and Safety (MTOPS) received the 205 family food packs in coordination with the Office of City Councilor Camille Bautista.
Members of MTOPS as well as Community and Religious groups were there to support the relief operations.
Santiago City, Isabela is one of the hardest hit area of Typhoon Ulysses. There are hundreds of Bangsamoro Families residing in the City who needed economic as well as social support due to this pandemic.
MP Maisara committed to support not only affected and vulnerable families and individuals and also women groups like MTOPS to empower them to do more good for their members and community.
MTOPS Chair Aslea Maguindanao is honored and thankful that MP Maisara who traveled 14 hours personally delivered the relief assistance in coordination with Councilor Bautista who is also serving the unreached and vulnerable communities in Santiago City.
We will continue our advocacy to extend help to people who are most in need within or outside the region.
