25 December 2020 – The Office of MP Atty. Maisara C. Dandamun-Latiph distributed relief goods to the victims affected by the major storm, otherwise known as ‘Bagyong Ulysses’ that hit there homes and shelters. The said operation was held at Santiago City.
A total of 100 families were given relief goods that contain the following:
5 kilos sinandomeng rice, 4 pcs assorted noodles, 3 can goods, 1 laundry bar soap, 1 bath soap, 4 pcs of shampoo, 1 bottle clorox, Powdered laundry soap, Face mask
According to Abdulmoin Harim, the President of Traders Muslim Community Association, during the recent calamity, the flood hit their Brgy. made to open 7 gates (Magat Dam) to lessen the danger it may cause. 96 families that is approximately 400 individuals had been affected by the typhoon.
He then cited a statement addressed to the Bangsamoro government saying, “Sana matulongan niyo kaming mga kababayan niyo dito sa outside Mindanao”. Despite of this, they were very grateful that we reached them in the manner of what we can.
The humanitarian response is part of the program “Siyap to the Vulnerable” of the office of MP Atty. Maisara C. Dandamun-Latiph to the vulnerable constituents in Bangsamoro outside BARMM.The Office of MP Maisara will continue its advocacy to extend help to people who are most in need within or outside the region.
