Siyap Ko Pagtao Eid’l Adha 2021 Qurban

July 20, 2021

July 20, 2021| Eid’l Adha is being practiced by Muslims around the globe. It is an annual event where Muslim do the Feast of Sacrifice.

In participation for the said Muslim Feast of Sacrifice, the Office of MP Atty. Maisara Dandamun-Latiph distributed (4) Cows in the Municipality of Tugaya, Lanao del Sur. This has served (2) kilos of cow meat each to the One Hundred Thirty (130) household beneficiaries in the said Municipality.

This program is entitled, “Siyap ko Pagtao Eid’l Adha Qurban (Food Assistance: A COVID-19 Response Program) under the initiative of MP Atty. Maisara”.

According to Islamic Relief Organization Qurbani means sacrifice. Every year during the month of Dhul Hijjah, Muslims around the world slaughter an animal. This animal can be a goat, sheep, cow, or camel to reflect the prophet Ibrahim’s willingness to sacrifice his son Ismail, for the sake of Allah.

“This occasion teaches us to bury old hachets, solidify family ties and forge friendships. Muslims around the globe unite as one on this day. It brings people together, and closer to create awareness among each other.”, said by MP Maisara

“When the animal is being sacrifice, the meat is divided into three; for the family, for the neighbors and for the poor and needy. Qurbani teaches us how to look after our neighbors as they too have rights. On the same side, people of the poor, homeless or financially unable to sustain their families also deserve a share of the sacrifice.”, she added.

We would also like to thank Chief
Minister Ahod Ebrahim for his donation of one cow for which went to Maranatao for Qurban.
