Fifty (50) Women from Dumpsite Area in Brgy. Papandayan, Marawi City participated in the Training Induction Program of Siyap ko Mga Bae: A Training for Sustainable Livelihood Program on Dressmaking and Bread and Pastry Production NCII.
This was conducted by the office of MP Atty. Maisara C. Dandamun-Latiph in partnership with the Ministry of Social Services and Development, Provincial/City Manpower Development Center, Bangsamoro Transition Authority – Gender and Development Office and Technical Education and Skills Development Lanao del Sur.
This project aims to empower vulnerable women in the Dumpsite Area of Papandayan, Marawi City through conducting training on Dressmaking and Bread and Pastry making to create more livelihood opportunities for them.
This program was designed to help them in achieving financial independence and security by strengthening them by building skills and resources in making a living and seeking funding and technical support from its partners.
The training will be implemented thru blended classes; Face to face and Online classes.
Participants will be provided travel allowance, PPE allowance, and Internet Allowances.
They will also be receiving their starter tool kit such as Sewing Machine and other equipment for dressmaking trainees, and Oven and baking equipments for Bread and Pastry Making trainees.
Participants are also expected to receive Php15,000 starter capital. This will be awarded to those who will pass the assessment at end of the training.
