November 29, 2021| The Office of MP Maisara Dandamun-Latiph thru its Environment Sector Representative, Sahanee M. Panolong, attended and had a lecture with regards to the BTA-Bill No. 32 or the Act Creating the Ranao Development Authority and the Summary Report of the Siyap ko Ranaw Consultation to the participants of the “Ugop ko Ranaw Seminar-Workshop” conducted by Ranaw Youth Tanggol Kalikasan (RYTK).
The seminar-workshop aims to cultivate love of culture and the environment, the ecological services that Meranao people derive in lake ecosystem, the resources they get from the lake and its environs, the unique biodiversity in the area as shown by diferrent species, Ranaw as the symbol and cradle of Meranao people, and the fitting response of and commitment each local resident should do to stop the continuing deterioration of Lake Lanao and its watersheds.
