Religious guidelines No. 25
The Darul Ifta of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao sees that vaccine for healing and preventive measure, in general, is lawful (Halal) on the basis of the verse of the Glorious Quran which goes like this:
ياأيها الذين آمنوا خذوا حذركم… (النساء:71)
“O you who believe take your precaution.”(An-Nisa: 71)
On the issue of the anti-Covid-19 vaccine, it is the Health Authority who has the final decision, whether it is safe to get vaccinated or not. The Darul Ifta holds the saying of the Messenger of Allah (Peace upon him) that goes like this:
دع ما يريبك الى ما لا يريبك
“Leave what you doubt in it, to what you have no doubt in it.”
