READ | President Rodrigo Roa Duterte held a meeting with the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) on September 28, 2020, and provided updates on the government’s efforts to address the COVID-19 crisis in the country.
President Duterte placed Lanao del Sur, including Marawi City, under modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) starting October 1 until October 31, 2020, while Iloilo City will be under general community quarantine (GCQ) from October 1 to October 31. Other areas under GCQ are Batangas, Tacloban City, Bacolod City, and Iligan City, as well as Metro Manila. The rest of the country is placed under modified general community quarantine (MGCQ).
