March 03, 2022

Now on its third day, the public consultation on the proposed bill that will create a municipal hospital in Tugaya, Lanao del Sur, was held this afternoon, March 3.

Under Parliament Bill No. 114, a first level, 10-bed capacity general hospital called Tugaya Municipal Hospital, will be created in the said town. The proposed measure was authored by MPs Dr. Zul Qarneyn Abas and Atty. Maisara Latiph.

In the proposed measure, P75 million will be appropriated for the procurement of equipment and initial operations of TMH aside from the available budget and appropriation of the Ministry of Health for its construction.

MP Latiph said that the establishment of a municipal hospital in Tugaya town would decongest Amai Pakpak Medical Center as residents need not go to Marawi City to attend to their medical needs. (LTAIS-Public Information, Publication, and Media Relations Division)
