SHARING OF INSIGHTS, LEARNINGS AND EXPERIENCES OF THE ON THE JOB TRAINEES DURING THEIR CULMINATION PROGRAM

AssalamoAlaikom Warahmatullahi Wabarakato!

I am very pleased to be speaking to you today on behalf of our Last Day of completing our practicum subject 600 hours On-The-Job Training. I’d like to draw your attention for a few minutes to share with you our work experiences and houw important this day.

During the starting days of our OJT in searching an Agency to apply to work as OJT student. Accordingly, i’ve heard that taking OJT outside Lanao Del Sur is cool because you will experience a lot of experiences, new environment, new people to meet as well as it will make you more competent during your OJT, And Yes I agreed with it. But due to lacking financial for my expenses in outside lanao del sur in taking OJT I better choose to stay in Marawi City and I think the work in an agency outside lanao del sur is same as work experience in an agency in Marawi City. It depends on an agency how they train OJT students. Work experinces is just same on how you will apply your theoritical knowledge.

Then, I applied 7 agencies here in Marawi City. There’s an agency will accomodate and some doesn’t accomodate OJT. Days ongoing I’m not yet get started to my practicum subject and our fellow batchmates gets already started. And I feel stressed that i’m not yet started because of new curriculum 600 hours need to complete, I badly need to start already ’cause of long duration of new curriculum hours.

Ms. Girlie informed me that the office of MP. MAISARA will accomodate OJT, I’m shock and first time to heard that there is an BARMM extension office here in MSU Marawi a BTA office. That one of my plans is to take my practicum in BARMM government because I believe I will be having a great opportunity when I’m going to apply BARMM agencies. And Im so happy to hear the good news from Ms. Girlie. And I submit my application letter in the office and still I feel stressed waiting for the response if accomodated or not. But the long waited is over. We’re hired joke, we’re approved in the office. Kaya pala kame nalate mag start mag OJT kasi may nakalaan palang mabuti saamin na wala sa mga batchmate namen na OJT. and I think we are the only OJT in our batch that has great privilage to feel real employee or staff kasi my allowance kame na kahit papaano naka experienced din namen ung may sweldo ka. And Yes Iba talaga feeling pag sumo sweldo parang lahat nalang ng gusto mong gamit bibilhin mo,

The month of March of our On The Job Training its the month that we feel like a new born baby. We do not know what was going on in the office. We do not know what to do the task given to us. The month of March has full of challenges that makes us feel excited to work experience.

In the first week of March it is the begining of our work experiences my first time to do a work of Sir. Iking in encoding facebook page of office posts, comments and put a remark on the comments after encoded. I’ve learned that posting in social media of event programs is important to monitor and to know the impact of the events to other people. And then first time to have field work attended a public consultation in the municipality of Wato and Tugaya, LDS of proposing bill together with the staff and Ma’am MP. Maisara. I’ve learned that proposing a bill is hard because it needs a lot of process to be approved. The proposed bill is a great opportunity to the people of two municipalities of Wato and Tugaya to make their place progressive.

In the second week of March It was my first time to implement a granted project program of youth representative Sir. Lance A project “LAPIS HINDI BALA” and our experience is a very memorable one. The adventure time we hurdled to reach the recipient of the program. I’ve learned how to implement and facilitate a program the way I observed during our first time in implementing a project. And I’ve learned from Sir. lance the value of hard work, being a responsible staff that does do everything just to accomplish the work. Then it is my first time work experience in assessing the implememtation of educational, financial, medical assistance program of office. The program in giving assistance is a great opportunity to everyone to sustain thier needs like the students for their academic expenses.

In the third week of March it was my first time to experience the work of Ma’am Hasana in translating the written Mranaw words to English Words. I can see that the program was well implemented while I’m reading the assessments of the recipients of the program. they are very thankful to be part of the scholarship program of the Office of MP. Maisara. And then It is my first time to experience signing a memorandum of agreement of grantees of scholarship program of the office to witness that they recieved their assistance. And It was my first time to assess the program of Ma’am Hasnifah SIYAP KO MGA LUKOS: ADULT CONTINUITY EDUCATION FACILITATORS TRAINING . I arranged thier contract of service documents and I realized that applying a job is very hard long process to be made.

In the Fourth week It is my first time to experience assessing TDIF grantees. It was my first time to assess in releasing school supplies for the Ustads of Siyap ko mga Lokus. It was also my first time to attend a town hall session with Maam Sittie Johara and Maam Hana about the Marawi Compensation Bill. And it was my first time to experience the part of Sir. Sam analyzing and encoding the applicant letters of medical, education, and financial assistance. Medyo sa part ni Sir. Sam na trabaho ko medyo mahirap kasi kelangan talagang basahin ung mga application letter din e analyze pa. But despite worth it naman work experience talaga.

All the work experiences we had in the month of March are all new experiences to us and na challenged talaga kame. The knowledge learned will be kept in mind and be our guide for our future career of having a work experience to all of you.

I learned the way how to communicate and to deal with people especially doon sa mga field work matuto ka talaga. Through my experiences my communicating skill were improved. Un ung isa sa mga gusto ko ma improve saakin. Communication skills. I’ve learned the importance of being responsible person as I observed to all of you na talagang napaka hardworing at responsible niyo sa work ninyo. And I’ve learned that sainyo. Thank you very much po sa lahat ng work experiences and knowledge you’ve shared to us.
