READ | Members of the Bangsamoro Parliament strengthened their commitment to pursuing moral governance by passing a measure that promotes Halal conduct to its public officials and employees.
The measure directed the Bangsamoro Darul-Ifta to issue a fatwa that defines what constitutes halal acts.
It also adopted a resolution backing Moro legislators in their call for an investigation into warrantless arrests of Muslims in Cavite as well as to protect them from discrimination and violence.
Motions to support campaigns on women’s hijab tradition and vaccination initiatives in the region were also passed.
The Bangsamoro Parliament adjourned today’s legislative session with eight resolutions passed.
