July 21, 2022 | The Berghof Foundation through Isabella Wüstner, the project manager and Véronique Dudouet, Executive Director visited the Office of MP Atty. Maisara Dandamun – Latiph.
They have visited to conduct planning and needs assessment activities with their partners.
They are very keen to also meet with distinguished representatives of the BARMM institutions, in order to better understand the current political situation, including the opportunities and challenges for a gender-inclusive transition to peace, democracy and sustainable development.
The Berghof Foundation is an independent, non-governmental, non-profit organisation, based in Berlin, Germany. They support efforts to prevent political and social violence, and to achieve sustainable peace, through dialogue facilitation, mediation support, training, and research on conflict transformation.
As part of this work, they are supporting women of resistance and liberation movements during peace negotiations and post-war transitions, in order to promote their effective inclusion in peacebuilding processes.
In the context of this project, they have been conducting various activities with women from the Bangsamoro Islamic Women Auxiliary Brigade (BIWAB) of the MILF/BIAF, who are active members of their international peer-learning network.
