October 7, 2021 | Member of Parliament Atty. Maisara C. Dandamun-Latiph delivered a presentation as resource speaker in the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) Capacity Enhancement Seminar on Preventing/Countering Violent Extremism (P/CVE) with the Theme: “Balancing Security and Humanity in Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism (P/CVE) and Insurgency.”
She discussed the National Governments Response to Violent Extremism in general as well as the Approaches and Directions relevant thereto. It was followed by an Open-Forum where participants were allowed to raise questions and share their respective ideas.
In attendance were BJMP Command Group
Directors of Directorates, Chiefs of Offices, Regional Directors and Staffs, and all Jail Wardens in the country. There were around 650 people who participated in the said activity.
