The Ministry of Basic, Higher and Technical Education (MBHTE) has begun the distribution of printing supplies as an immediate response in the implementation of the learning continuity plan in the region.
A total of 1,973 boxes of bond papers were given on Tuesday, April 20, 2021, to schools in BARMM Special Geographic Area (SGA) or the 63 barangays of North Cotabato. Of which, 1,550 boxes were given to 85 elementary schools while 419 boxes to 21 secondary schools.
Another distribution was held on Thursday, April 22, 2021, at the Schools Division of Cotabato City were a total of 6,962 boxes were given to 28 elementary while 4,447 to 15 secondary schools.
Even though procurement of these printing supplies was not part of the Bangsamoro Appropriations Act of 2020, the MBHTE is steadfast to deliver and ensure continuity of education despite the challenges brought upon by the pandemic.
“Rest assured of our commitment to uplift the status of education in the region, the Ministry shall strive to provide the Bangsamoro learners and educators with quality education alongside quality service,” said MBHTE Minister Mohagher Iqbal.
The MBHTE will also be delivering same supplies to the remaining nine (9) schools divisions in the soonest time.
“In the best of our ability, we will deliver what we can give,” Iqbal added.
