October 23, 2021 | Hassana H.Malic, one of the Staffs of BTA Atty. Maisara Dandamun-Latiph has successfully delivered her presentation entitled, ” The Role of Youth in Political Decision Making” as a Resource Speaker in the Program, Sindaw Kalumbayan: A Youth Peace Assembly on Ensuring Participation of Youth in Coming Election 2022 of Young Women Leaders for Peace in partnership with Global Network of Women Peacebuilders held at Bagumbayan Hall, Marawi City.
She discussed the Role and Responsibilities of Youth in Political Decision Making that young people who are involved and participated in the electoral process affirm their support for democracy. Youth play an important role in the development and that they have the capabilities to bring social reforms and improvements to society.
“Youth of today are undeniably key players in everything. Youth can build a strong nation by eradicating poverty, building social cohesion, developing the economic condition, and political stability of the country” She added.
The program aims to Ensure that Bangsamoro youth are fully aware of the current status of BARMM and its challenges and opportunities for the Youth to encourage the youth to take part in ensuring a peaceful transition of BARMM and participate through casting their vote in the coming 2022 BARMM election and lastly, to build a sustainable involvement of youth in social transformation movements both offline and online in building resilient communities.
This event gathered 100 youth leaders coming from the Youth Council/SKs, SSG officers, and different youth organizations in Marawi City and Lanao Del Sur.
