Children Sectoral Advocacy

Children and young people with the absence of their parents either by death or abandonment are clearly vulnerable groups and results in the child becoming an orphan; they are physically weak in the society and are mostly challenged by poverty.  The sad reality is that if foster parents, social workers, or institutions are not there to provide what they need, no one will. This is the time for the Government to step in. Under the principle of Parens Patriae, the Government should stand in as the parents and caregivers of these vulnerable children.
