Highlights:
âď¸There were two Proposed Resolutions authored by MP Maisara Latiph in the Order of Business of the day.
âď¸PR No. 289 or a âResolution Recommending the Establishment of a Lanao del Sur Provincial Hospital as part of the BARMM Regional COVID-19 Responseâ, and PR No. 299 or a âResolution Calling for Stricter Implementation of the Provisions of RA No. 9275, or the Philippine Clean Water Act of 2004 in the BARMMâ, were referred to the appropriate committees.
âď¸In relation to the importance of setting up a provincial hospital in Lanao del Sur, PR No. 443 directing the MOH to implement Muslim Mindanao Act no. 245 (An Act Upgrading the Tamparan District Hospital into a Provincial Hospital of Lanao del Sur), and BTA-Parliament Bill No. 99 or âAn Act Converting the Tamparan District Hospital in Lanao del Sur into a Provincial Hospital and upgrading it into Level 2 with (150) bed capacity, and appropriating funds therefore and for other purposesâ were referred to the Committee on Health.
âď¸BTA-Parliament Bill No. 25 or âAn Act Creating a Bangsamoro Veteran Mujahideen/Mujahidat Affairs Officeâ was in its second stage of reading. Main author MP. Engr. Aida Silongan delivered a sponsorship speech on the importance of giving benefits to our veteran Mujahideen and Mujahidat, as well as their beneficiaries, considering that there would be no BARMM without our Mujahideen and Mujahidat who have shed their lives for the cause. The bill was referred to the Committee on Finance, Budget, and Management, as well as the Committee on Social Services.
âď¸MP Atty. Laisa Alamia delivered a sponsorship speech concerning the BTA-Parliament Bill No. 69, or âAn Act Creating the Parliamentary Womenâs Caucus in the Bangsamoro Parliament, providing for its powers, functions, and compositionâ. It is a measure pushed forward by the unified womenâs bloc in the BTA Parliament, among which MP Maisara Latiph is also an active member of. âThe Womenâs Caucus bill hopes to jumpstart better representation of womenâs issues and concerns in the regional government â including that of childrenâ, according to MP Alamia.
âď¸MP Atty. Rasol Mitmug, Jr. also delivered a privilege speech on the anniversary of the GRP-Tripoli Agreement of 2001.
âď¸MP Hussein P. Munoz, Minster of the Ministry of Public Order and Safety (MPOS), presented Committee Report No. 37.
âď¸PR No. 441 expressing sympathy and condolences over the death of Dr. Filemon G. Romero, former Chancellor of Mindanao State University Tawi-Tawi, was treated as a simple resolution and approved.
âď¸MP Maisara Latiph took the floor to give honor to deceased electrician Argie Regadon of the Office of the Chief Minister, who due to an accident while performing his work passed away. She stated that it was only right for the BTA Parliament to provide financial assistance to the bereaved family. She emphasized the importance of ensuring the safety and hazard protocols for workers are followed.
âď¸MP Engr. Ampatuan made a manifestation requesting the Government of the Day to reconsider the reorganization of the Chairmanship of the parliament committees.
