Highlights:
The Committee Report No. 41 submitted by the Committee on Rules, RE: BTA-Cabinet Bill No. 6. entitled: An Act Providing for the Bangsamoro Administrative Code and for other Related Purposes, was deliberated upon by the BTA Parliament being in its second reading;
The Majority Floor Leader explained that in the level of the Committee on Rules, they approved the Enhanced Version of the Bangsamoro Administrative Code on October 22, 2020 and the same is for the approval of the parliament members;
The Period of Interpellation was opened allowing the members of the Parliament to ask questions to the proponents of the BTA Cabinet Bill No. 60;
MP Atty. Maisara C. Dandamun-Latiph introduced several important amendments to the proposed Parliament Bill No. 60 affecting Bangsamoro Foundation Day, cultural identity, poverty alleviation, economy, environment, social services, education, children, and vulnerable sectors which were accepted by the proponents of the Cabinet Bill;
Also, other Members of the Parliament proposed their amendments to the said Cabinet Bill which are significant to include. Among them were MP Baintan Ampatuan, MP Amir Mawalil, MP Diamila Ramos, MP Romeo Saliga, MP Ali Sangki, and MP Omar Sema;
The Committee on Rules was praised by the BTA Parliament for producing a comprehensive and enhanced version of Bangsamoro Administrative Code;
Minister Iqbal delivered his sponsorship speech for the BTA Parliament Bill No. 70 entitled AN ACT PROVIDING FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A COMPLETE AND INTEGRATED SYSTEM OF QUALITY EDUCATION IN THE BANGSAMORO” which is currently on its second reading and the same was subsequently referred to the Committee on Education;
The Resolution 329 entitled “RESOLUTION ADOPTING AND APPROVING THE INTERIM COMPOSITION OF THE RESPECTIVE RECRUITMENT, SELECTION, AND PLACEMENT BOARDS OF THE BANGSAMORO TRANSITION AUTHORITY, MINISTRIES, OFFICES AND AGENCIES” was deliberated upon following the reading by the Majority Floor Leader of its explanatory note was subsequently adopted;
The BTA Cabinet Bill No. 60, otherwise known as the AN ACT PROVIDING FOR THE BANGSAMORO ADMINISTRATIVE CODE AND FOR OTHER RELATED PURPOSES was approved into law. Voting results: 58 YES; 0 NO; and 0 ABSTAIN.
