☑️Out of 79 members of the BTA Parliament, 56 members responded to the call. 20 attended physically, and 36 attended via virtual zoom.
☑️The Plenary have tackled six (6) resolutions and five (5) bills.
☑️After further debate, interpellation, and amendments, the following resolutions have been approved and adopted by the members of parliament:
▶️Proposed Resolution No. 508, entitled: A RESOLUTION URGING THE OFFICE OF THE CHIEF MINISTER (OCM) TO RECOMMEND REPRESENTATIVES OF THE BANGSAMORO GOVERNMENT TO THE GOVERNING BOARDS OF GOVERNMENT-OWNED AND CONTROLLED CORPORATIONS (GOCCs) OPERATING WITHIN THE JURISDICTION OF THE BANGSAMORO AUTONOMOUS REGION
On the period of amendment, MP Latiph suggested to include the following amendments in the last part before the dispositive portion to read as follows:
Whereas, there is a need to appoint representatives of the Bangsamoro Government to the governing boards of GOCCs operating in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region.
MP Latiph stressed, “it would mean that we want to appoint and have representatives of the Bangsamoro governing boards of GOCCs that operate in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region.”
The Proponent MP Ampatuan accepted the amendments of MP Latiph but the word “appoint” was changed to “nominate.”
▶️Proposed Resolution No. 510, entitled: A RESOLUTION COMMENDING THE SENATE OF THE REPUBLIC OF THE PHILIPPINES FOR APPROVING SENATE BILL 2214 ON THIRD READING
▶️Proposed Resolution No. 511, entitled: RESOLUTION CALLING THE OFFICE OF THE CHIEF MINISTER TO PROVIDE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO THE FRONTLINE HEALTHCARE WORKERS IN THE BARMM WHO ARE HOSPITALIZED DUE TO COVID-19 INFECTION
On the period of interpellation and debate, MP Latiph suggested an amendment to remove the word “until full vaccination” because the essence of providing assistance is the care that we provide for our medical workers so we need to give them beyond the period that was provided in this resolution.
On the period of amendment, the proponent MP Ampatuan accepted the amendment of MP Latiph to remove the word “until full vaccination.”
▶️Proposed Resolution No. 512, entitled: A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE SENATE OF THE PHILIPPINES TO PRIORITIZE THE COMPENSATION BILL FOR MARAWI
▶️Proposed Resolution No. 513, entitled: A RESOLUTION CONGRATULATING AND COMMENDING JUSTICE JAPAR B. DIMAAMPAO ON HIS APPOINTMENT AS THE 191 ASSOCIATE JUSTICE OF THE SUPREME COURT OF THE PHILIPPINES AND FOR BEING THE SECOND MUSLIM MAGISTRATE TO SERVE IN THE HIGH TRIBUNAL
MP Latiph manifested her interest as co-author of this resolution considering that she also “support the well deserved appointment of our Second Muslim Justice in the Supreme Court and the First Meranao to do so. We extend our warmest Congratulations and felicitations. He is an inspiration to all of us.”
▶️Proposed Resolution No. 514, entitled: RESOLUTION EXTENDING HEARTFELT THANKS AND PROFOUND GRATITUDE TO PRESIDENT RODRIGO ROA DUTERTE FOR APPOINTING COURT OF APPEALS (CA JUSTICE JAPAR B. DIMAAMPAO AS NEWLY APPOINTED ASSOCIATE JUSTICE OF SUPREME COURT OF THE PHILIPPINES
MP Latiph moved that “the entire Bangsamoro Parliament be made a co-author because this is a historical measure that we have waited for 34 years for this so I believe that congratulations is not just due to our good Supreme Court Justice Japar Dimaapao but also to the appointing authority who saw in his good heart and wisdom to give the Muslims a chance to have Muslim in the highest court of the land to help us in our quest for Shari’ah Law development as well. I believe that the President Rodrigo Roa Duterte being the second president after 34 years deserves the highest commendation from the Bangsamoro people.”
The presiding officer accepted the motion without any objection from the members.

MIMBANTAS MEMORIAL HOSPITAL, APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

▶️BTA-Parliament Bill No. 124, entitled: AN ACT PROVIDING FOR THE BANGSAMORO COOPERATIVE AND SOCIAL ENTERPRISE CODE (BCSEC) OF 2021 FOR THE BANGSAMORO AUTONOMOUS REGION IN MUSLIM MINDANAO (BARMM) has been referred to Committee on Trade, Investment, and Tourism.

☑️The 3 bills on second reading were also referred to the Committee on Finance as a secondary Committee since it speaks of “appropriating funds therefor”
