📌BTA Resumption of Second Regular Session No. 52

Highlights:
☑️The Plenary continued the period of interpellation on the Bangsamoro Civil Service Code.
☑️Various Members of Parliament posed interpellation questions tackling the issues of Asatidz, Shariah Bar Passers, Qualification Standards, eligibility of Mujahideens and Mujahidats, among other issues.
☑️MP Atty. Maisara C. Dandamun-Latiph took to the podium to pose interpellation questions. Majority of her amendments had already been accepted at the Committee level. In line with the discussions, she set the premise and provided the legal bases for the Bangsamoro Government and the Bangsamoro Parliament’s power to establish qualification standards in the BARMM.
☑️She also proposed the creation of a Career Executive Service board for the BARMM which would ensure the integrity of the civil service and would provide for continuous development and trainings for civil servants in the Bangsamoro Region. This is also in line with the Bangsamoro Government’s duty to protect civil service eligibles.
☑️She was followed by MP Atty. Laisa Alamia. MPs Atty. Raissa Jajurie and Atty. Anna Basman answered the interpellation questions.
☑️The body went into overtime to finish all of the interpellation questions, and subsequently entered into the period of amendments.
