READ | MP Maisara filed to the BTA Parliament the Proposed Resolution No. 283 entitled:
“Urging the appropriate Parliament committee to craft the Bangsamoro Islamic and Banking finance framework”
•Section 32, Article XIII of R.A. No. 11054 or BOL provides that the Bangsamoro Government shall promote the development of an Islamic banking and finance sysyem and that the parliament shall enact laws that promote the growth of Islamic finance.
•The BOL also mandates the establishment of Shari’ah Supervisory Board which shall determine the compliance of Islamic Banks and Shari’ah compliant financial institutions with Shari’ah principles.
