READ | BARMMIARC TURNS OVER IEC MATERIALS TO ICTS OF MAFAR-BARMM
The Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao Integrated Agricultural Research Center (BARMMIARC) of the MAFAR turned over Information Education and Communication (IEC) materials to the Information and Communications Technology Section (ICTS) of the ministry today, September 30, 2020.
The materials included tarpaulins on the Top Five Possible Pests to Occur on Rice for the Fourth Quarter of 2020 Based on Historical Data and pamphlets on ‘Gabay sa Pamamahala ng Rice Tungro’, Gabay sa Pamamahala ng Daga sa Palay’, ‘Gabay sa Pamamahala ng Rice Black Bug’, ‘Gabay sa Pamamahala ng Brown Planthopper sa Palay’, ‘Gabay sa Pamamahala ng Armyworm/Cutworm sa Palay’, and ‘Pamaagi sa Pagsugpo ng Fall Armyworm (FAW).
The turnover was facilitated by Tong A. Abas, OIC of the MAFAR Research Sector, Abdul Nasseef S. Ulong, BARMMIARC Center Manager, and Baharen A. Piang, Assistant Center Manager.
Received by Salembai A. Abdullah, ICTS OIC-Chief, the IEC materials came from the Pest Forecasting Section under the Crop Pest Management Division of the Bureau of Plant Industry (BPI) based in Malate, Manila.
Abdullah said the information materials shall be distributed to the provincial offices for subsequest dissemination to the farmers.
