BARMM to provide emergency vehicles to LGUs

Bangsamoro Government’s Ministry Ministry of Interior and Local Government (MILG) is set to provide emergency vehicles to the different Local Government Units (LGUs) in the region.

On Thursday, April 15, BARMM Chief Minister Ahod B. Ebrahim together with MILG Minister Atty. Naguib Sinarimbo personally inspected the five (5) fire trucks, five (5) police cars, and four (4) units of ambulance, which will be given to the different priority LGUs in the region.

The ambulance will be given to the Bangsamoro Rapid Emergency Action on Disaster Incidence (READi) and the local government of Tawi-Tawi.

MILG Minister Atty. Naguib Sinarimbo said these emergency vehicles will supplement the ministry’s preparedness and response program under the internal security services.

On which LGUs shall receive the emergency vehicles, Minister Sinarimbo said, “the MILG has a deployment agreement with the Bureau of Fire Protection on who among the priority LGUs will receive the emergency vehicles.”

Additionally, Sinarimbo said the ambulance units will be given to the Bangsamoro Rapid Emergency Action on Disaster Incidence (READi) and the local government of Tawi-Tawi.

“We continue to strengthen our emergency response capability while attending to the immediate need for relief assistance of our constituents in the Bangsamoro,” the Minister stressed.
