BARMM Government: A Journey of Understanding for the trainees

June 08, 2022

SHARING OF INSIGHTS, LEARNINGS AND EXPERIENCES OF THE ON THE JOB TRAINEES DURING THEIR CULMINATION PROGRAM

First of all, a greeting of peace and prosperity to all of us.

Personally speaking, it is very ironic that I am living in BARMM, but I haven’t heard the Bangsamoro Transition Authority, its role and function in the government so thus to this office.

At first, I am not into BARMM government, I only voted yes during the plebiscite because I was told to do so. Hearing speculations about BARMM made me not to support it, as they say, BARMM government will not last long because of the absence of good governance among us. However, my mistake was I only base my opinion towards what I have heard to the other people without even understanding and not overseeing the whole process. And, when I started working and having my training in this office. I slowly started to have regret in having those thoughts.

We have shared during our first interview how we were able to be here, it was Girlie who told us that this office is accepting OJTs. At first, I have second thought if I will pursue having my training here given that I am not much familiar to this office. I was supposed to have my training in Iligan City, at Fiat Construction but because Ramadhan was about to come, I decided to have my training here in Marawi City. But then, here I am, having my speech for the last part of our training, and I can say that I am proud and happy that once upon a time I have done my training in the office of MP Atty. Maisara C. Dandamun-Latiph.

I would like to take this opportunity to send my greatest gratitude and thanks to the team of MP Atty. Maisara. To Sir Rafael who is doing one of the important roles in the office, for maintaining proper decency of things and stuff. To Sir Fahad, Ma’am Lovely, Ma’am Lalay and Ma’am Hasnie, to the Sir Johar and Sir Sam of course, to the sectoral representatives Ma’am Hassana, Ma’am Hana, Ma’am Shahanee, Ma’am Queeny, and Sir Lance where the sector I am in. And to Ma’am Lainie, and Sir Iking. To Ma’am Chin Chin, and of course, to our very soft-spoken supervisor Sir Jam. Thank you for being a part of our on-the-job training journey. Thank you for all your teachings, guidance and sharing your personal experiences to us. We truly appreciate and cherish everything we have shared. For the happy moments, tawanan moments and travel together. On my part, I am truly happy and enjoyed my training in your office. Makaka-asa po kayo na aming itataos puso ang lahat ng aming natutunan sa inyong opisina.

Acknowledge Ma’am Asma and Ma’am Zahannie

Further, to Ma’am MP Atty. Maisara, thank you so much ma’am for allowing us to have our training in your office, thank you for the message you’ve given to us during our first meeting, thank you for the benefits you have given to us also. Maraming maraming salamat po ma’am. We are truly blessed and special among all of the on-the-job trainees.

To the office, please continue serving the Bangsamoro people as we deeply need institution like this. We need the good governance in order to prosper, and this office manifest those. I have seen how you make change and how you brought change. You are erasing the stereotype and speculations about BARMM government. It is indeed that you are one of those reason why we can feel that there is a BARMM government that support, give care and value to the people. Please be proud of yourselves because you are in the team of MP Atty. Maisara.

Lastly, the office of MP Atty. Maisara C. Dandamun-Latiph will always and always have a special place in our heart.

May we have the blessings and reward of Allah today and in here after.
