LOOK | Through three (3) resolutions adopted tonight, members of the Bangsamoro Transition Parliament (BTA) expressed their deepest condolences and sympathies to the family of former Philippine President Benigno Simeon “Noynoy” Aquino III who passed away today, June 24.

The BTA members also honored President Aquino’s contributions to the peace and development in the Bangsamoro region.

It was under Aquino’s administration when the Philippine Government and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) signed the Framework Agreement on the Bangsamoro (FAB) and the Comprehensive Agreement on the Bangsamoro (CAB).

“The Bangsamoro peace process had its major breakthrough because of his commitment to find a solution to the war in Mindanao. The peace agreement with the MILF was signed while he was the President, and all the gains following it was because of his hard work to make it happen,” one of the resolutions read.
