March 16, 2021 – MP Atty. Maisara C. Dandamun-Latiph attended the first meeting of the Committee on Trade, Investment, and Tourism.
Among the items in the agenda was the creation of the sub-committees. Two sub-committees were created: the Sub-Committee on Tourism, and the Sub-Committee on Trade and Investment.
MP Latiph was nominated as Chairperson of the Sub-Committee on Tourism, with MP Ampatuan nominated as Vice-Chairperson. Meanwhile, MP Guerra was nominated as the Chairperson of the Sub-Committee of Trade and Investment, with MP Sangki as Vice-Chairperson.
Proposed Resolution 277 on capacity-building for social enterprises in cooperation with the Bureau of Cooperatives and Social Enterprises, which was authored by MP Latiph, was referred to the Sub-Committee on Trade and Investment.
Proposed Resolution No. 14 on the promotion and communications of the BARMM Plans, tourism, trade Promotion, and investments, authored by MP Ekey, was referred to the Sub-Committee on Tourism.
MP Latiph and MP Baintan-Ampatuan were elected as Chairperson and Vice-chairperson of the Sub-Committee on Tourism, respectively.
