Assalamu alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuhu! I would like to greet our fellow Muslim brothers and sisters in advance, a Blissful and Happy Eid’l Adha!
On the 31st day of July 2020 will be the Day of Feast (Eid’l Adha) for all of our Muslim brothers and sisters worldwide. Eid’l Adha is one of the two annual celebration or festival in Islam, it is a blessed day where Muslims are encouraged to spent their time with their family, relatives, friends and loved ones. It is a time for happiness and joy and a time for seeking one’s forgiveness towards others.
According to the narration of Abu ‘Ubaid said: “I was present for “Eid with “Umar bin Khattab. He started with the prayer before the sermon, and said: “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) forbade fasting on these two days, the Day of Fitr and the Day of Adha. As for the Day of Fitr, it is the day when you break your fast, and on the Day of Adha you eat the meat of your sacrifices.” (Source: Sahih International)
May the Almighty Creator grant us this year and the next years to come a happy, joyous and healthy living. Ameen!
