The Office of MP Atty. Maisara Dandamun-Latiph joins the celebration of the International Youth Day on August 12, 2022 with the theme: “International Youth Day: Intergenerational Solidarity: Creating a World for All Ages”.
Alhamdullillah! We are again celebrating another milestone for our youth sector.
Last year, we were able to celebrate International Youth Day 2021 together with the 15 youth organizations in Lanao del Sur showcasing their achievements and accomplishments for a year during our program entitled Ranaw Youth Advocates’ Summit. We listen to their stories, we gain knowledge to their advocacies and we inspire them with our works.
I am always saying that our youth are expected to advance the current technology, education, politics and the peace of the country. The faces of young people are the faces of our past, our present and our future. No segment in the society can match with the power, idealism, enthusiasm and the courage of every young people.
I am a firm believer in the relevance and impacts of youth participation to the community, especially in the shaping decisions that affect their lives and future.
Sa katanuyan, sa loob ng isang taon, tayo po ay nagpatuloy sa pagtulong sa mga kabataang Moro ng Lanao del Sur sila man ay mapasaang panig man ng Pilipinas. We help the out-of-school youth, in school youth, vulnerable youth of remote areas, youth ISIS returnees, youth advocates and many more to make sure that we inspire, and we give solutions to every single voice of a Bangsamoro youth.
This year’s International Youth Day, we will win the hearts of the young Bangsamoro of coastal area through a Ranaw Youth Awareness and Resiliency Summit 2.0 where its aim is to enhance & inspire our youth leader to be more productive member of the community and to give cash grants for every municipalities of coastal so that they can apply their learnings during our summit.
I do believe that by empowering the youth, we are empowering the country for they will serve as the next leaders of the community. My faith is in the younger generations.
As a Member of Parliament of the Bangsamoro Transition Authority, I made possible to include the youth sector be one of the focused sectors of my office for I believe that the youth are the young guns of the country who are going to bring new change to lead a new transformed life for better.
Over the past years, young people have been taking actions and developing many creative ideas to face the challenging times, whether by helping their community, finding innovative learning ways, keeping a positive spirit, and much more for the community.
The beauty of collaboration between older and younger generations is that we combine strength with wisdom, a surefire way to accomplish more for the glory of God (Allah) swt.
To every youth out there and on the celebration of the International Youth Day 2022, promise yourself to become more responsible youth, to work for the development and brighter future of the country. This day is the reminder that you are competent, smart, strong, and motivated to do things you want.
Seeing young advocates with many vision for the country is a flattering part of me because I see brighter future with good leaders.
To our youth, “Arise, Awake and Stop not until the goal is achieved. You are the combination of high-energies, intelligent brains and smartness-where I believe that it is a formula for the success of our country”. Enjoy the rest of the day! Wabillahi Tawfik, Wal-hidaya, Assalamu Alaykum Warahmatulahii, Wabarakatoho!
