Atty. Maisara C. Dandamun-Latiph, a member of the Bangsamoro Transition Authority Parliament, attended the public consultation on the three proposed measures held by the Committee on Trade, Investment, and Tourism.
Three proposed bills that aim to establish a Barter Trade Center, institutionalize Barter Trade, and offer a Bangsamoro Cooperative and Social Enterprise Code were debated.
According to MP Modayao Sacar, the primary author of BTA Bill No. 21, or the Barter Trade Center Act of 2019, the BTC will be the means by which BARMM dealers can do their business without difficulty or risk to the law.
The purpose of the public consultation was to improve the proposed legislation by obtaining legislative feedback, resource person opinions, and ideas.
Members of the academe, religious, business, private, and public sectors, as well as representatives from various relevant offices and agencies participated in the said consultation.
