April 11, 2022 | The Office of MP Atty. Maisara C. Dandamun – Latiph attended the Knowledge Sharing Activity with Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao on the Role of Government-owned and controlled corporations (GOCCs) in Economic Development that was organized by the World Bank held today, April 11, 2022 via Zoom Teleconference.
The meeting highlights the discussion of the International Perspectives on the Role of State-Owned Enterprises in Economic Development and Lessons Learned, Philippines Perspectives on the Role of State-Owned Enterprises in Economic Development and Lessons Learned, Lessons Learned from sectors of interest to BARMM and Discussion and Reflections chaired by DAB.
The learning-sharing session focused on understanding the role of state-owned enterprises (SOEs) on economic development and public finances, and their implications for the State’s role as a shareholder; Sharing experiences and learnings of GOCCs in the Philippines regarding governance, performance and outcomes; Gaining knowledge from GOCCs that are invested in sectors of economic interest to BARMM, such as clean energy and lake development and; Discussion of BARMM’s GOCC reform and investment considerations in line with the BOL.
