The Office of MP Atty. Maisara C. Dandamun-Latiph participated in the Town Hall Session with BARMM officials and Marawi LGU.
The said activity was organized by Initiatives for Dialogue and Empowerments through Alternative Legal Services (IDEALS) at Panggao Saduc, Marawi City.
Forty-five (45) Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) from Hadiya Shelter, Sagonsongan Shelter and Brgy. Tolali in Marawi City attended this town hall session. The aim of this program is to provide a platform for the IDPs to raise their concerns to the Government on their living conditions for almost five (5) years after the Marawi Siege in 2017.
A 10-point people’s agenda of Marawi IDPs were presented during the session. Livelihood, transportation, educational, religious and cultural infrastructure, health, and the passage of Marawi compensation bill are among the other relevant issues that was raised in the session.
Representative from the Office of City Mayor Atty. Majul U. Gandamra were present together with the representatives from the Office of MP Maisara, MP Barra and MP Basman. The event was moderated by Mr. Aminkhair Comadug.
The Government officials from LGU Marawi and BARMM Government signed the pledge of commitment signifying their support to strengthen existing programs and implement initiatives to address the concern of the IDPs.
