MP Latiph attended the Public Consultation on the proposed BTA Bill No. 53

March 17, 2022| Member of the Parliament Atty. Maisara C. Dandamun-Latiph attended the Public Consultation on the proposed BTA Bill No. 53 that shall create the Bangsamoro Sustainable Development Board, organized by the Technical Working Group (TWG) chaired by MP Atty. Raisa H. Jajurie.

The Proposed Bill aims to ensure the integration and harmonization of economic, social, and environmental considerations as vital dimensions of sustainable development policy and practice in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region. The Principal Author of the bill is Senior Minister MP Abdulraof A. Macacua.

The Board shall be composed of representatives from the National Government and the Bangsamoro Government. The Board shall be chaired by the Minister of Ministry of Environment, Natural Resources and Energy (MENRE) and the members of the Board shall be as follows: Executive Secretary of its equivalent position; Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Agrarian Reform; Minister of Interior and Local Government; Minister of Science and Technology; Minister of Trade, Investments and Tourism; Minister of Indigenous Peoples ‘Affairs; Bangsamoro Youth Commission; Bangsamoro Women Commission; and Director-General of the Bangsamoro Planning and Development Office.

Attendees of the said consultation are from Non-Government Organizations, Civil Society Organizations, Development Partners, Tribal and Ulama Leaders, Private Sector, Academe Sector and other concerned officials.
