The Bangsamoro Parliament commended Lorena Cocquia, a Balik-Islam jail officer working in Dagupan City

In an adopted resolution, the Bangsamoro Parliament commended Lorena Cocquia, a Balik-Islam jail officer working in Dagupan City, for her efforts in campaigning and contributing to the institutionalization of hijab and alternative uniform for Muslimah BJMP employees.

They also passed a resolution directing the Ministry of Interior and Local Government (MILG) to implement programs on strengthening the civil registry services of local government units and prioritizing the effective implementation of Muslim personal law in the region.

The Parliament expressed condolences on the death of Linda Untal Ampatuan, a former delegate to the Constitutional Convention of 1971 who represented the lone district of Cotabato and former Cotabato City Councilor.

Two legislative measures entered on the first reading which include the proposed bill on establishing and constructing a Bangsamoro Medical School and creating the Bangsamoro Region Anti-Drug Abuse Council.
