Below is her message:
“The Bangsamoro Organic Law is explicit with its intention to promote and to uphold the development of our cultural identities and inclusive in recognizing and acknowledging those individuals who have earned such merits specifically those individuals who has contributed to the immediate passage of the Bangsamoro Organic Law.
On July 13, the BTA Parliament passed a Resolution No. 135 entitled: Resolution expressing the sentiments and consensus of the Bangsamoro Parliament on the grant of an award of recognition and commendation to Secretary Abdullah D. Mama-o as an exemplar of Muslim Filipino Leadership and of Islamic Diplomacy.
It is indeed fit and proper for this Parliament to express recognition of certain deserving individuals especially fellow Bangsamoro, like Secretary Atty. Abdullah Derupong Mama-o, who at the moment is the only Bangsamoro Muslim Filipino with Cabinet rank as Presidential Adviser on Overseas Filipino Workers, and who is also designated as Special Envoy of the President for the State of Kuwait who, besides, serves from time to time upon the direction of the President not only promoting national interest in international arena but even in domestic field especially to fellow Bangsamoro constituents where he gives financial, technical, medical, legal and other assistance as a consequence of his official position.
This august Parliament believes that giving recognition to praiseworthy Bangsamoro citizens gives a positive model for our young to emulate, so that they themselves shall become worthy of liberties.”
Present are Secretary Atty. Abdullah D. Mama-o and his wife, Members of Parliament Deputy Speaker Atty. Omar Yasser Sema, Deputy Speaker Atty. Paisalin Tago, MP Atty. Maisara C.
