Preparations for Phase 3 of the decommissioning process for Moro Islamic Liberation Front – Bangsamoro Islamic Armed Forces members are underway amidst the challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Spearheaded by the Independent Decommissioning Body together with the Joint Normalization Committee , representatives of the GPH-MILF normalization mechanisms joined 30 MILF-BIAF combatants as they went through the simulation exercise.
The Independent Decommissioning Body with the Normalization mechanisms, however, adopted creative ways in order to push forward the process.
A total of 14,000 MILF-BIAF combatants will undergo Phase 3 of the decommissioning process.
