A total of 64 members of Bangsamoro Parliament, both physically and virtually present in the plenary, adopted resolutions condemning the killing of two students of the Mindanao State University (MSU)-Marawi and the violence committed against the LGBTQ++ members in Datu Piang, Maguindanao.
The august body urged the Bangsamoro government and concerned agencies to assist in the investigations and bring justice to the victims and their families.
A resolution on requesting the Office of the Chief Minister to submit a comprehensive report to the Bangsamoro Parliament detailing the assets, liabilities, programs, and projects turned over by the Southern Philippines Development Authority (SPDA) to the BARMM was also passed in the plenary.
Meanwhile, measures seeking to create the new Geographic Areas District Engineering Office, Bangsamoro Nutrition Council, and the hospital bill that aims to establish the General Hospital in the Municipality of Sitangkai, Tawi-Tawi, were also discussed on second reading and were referred to committees of public works, health, social services, and finance, budget, and management for deliberation.
