The office of Member of the Parliament, Atty. Maisara C. Dandamun-Latiph in Partnership with Technical Education and Skill Development Authority (TESDA), conducted Baking: Livelihood and Skills Training for Bangsamoro Communities in Barangay Maharlika Taguig City for 20 beneficiaries.
The training was due to poverty incidence and high unemployment rate in our region, most of the Bangsamoro people went to Metro Manila seeking opportunities to do for a living. However, this pandemic has created a significant downturn in the job market and business world. Thus, most of our constituents suffer, and the poverty incidence and unemployment rates, not only in the BARMM but the country as a whole remained elevated as the pandemic leaves scars on the economy. The BARMM has still the highest poverty incidence in the country.
