A bill principally authored by Deputy Speaker Omar Sema, Speaker Ali Pangalian Balindong, and Abdullah Hashim was deliberated upon at the Committee on Rules.
During the period of amendments, MP Atty. Maisara Dandamun-Latiph proposed and introduced several amendments to the proposed bill which have been duly adopted by the body. Among them are the inclusion of the words basic, higher, and technical education, the insertion of the word documents before the word communication, the deletion of the phrase “to be able” in all the paragraphs in Sec. 3 Line 26 of the bill. MP Omar Sema moved that the amendments of MP Maisara and it was duly seconded by the other members leading to their approval. Other members of the committee introduced their respective amendments while some reserved it for plenary.
