The fourth batch of the newly appointed officials of the Ministry of Basic, Higher, and Technical Education (MBHTE) officially took their oath of office and signed their appointment papers Wednesday, June 9, 2021, at Basilan Hall, MBHTE Regional Office.
MBHTE Minister Mohagher Iqbal, together with Deputy Minister Haron Meling, led the oath-taking ceremony where he reiterated and reminded all the employees of their pledge towards exemplifying moral governance in the service of the Bangsamoro community.
“I congratulate and welcome everyone to the education ministry of the Bangsamoro region. Let me remind each of you in this room that we have to purify our intentions when we do our tasks and responsibilities in line with the mandates of the Bangsamoro education ministry,” said Minister Iqbal.
These 18 officials, appointed to plantilla positions, went through rigorous screening process conducted by the ministry’s Regional Human Resource Merit Promotion and Selection Board (RHRMPSB) which based on qualifications, written and online examination, and interview.
It can be recalled that there were already three (3) batches of appointed and promoted employees in the Regional Office who took and signed their oath and appointment papers. Alongside the hiring and promotion processes in the Regional Office, the MBHTE also continuously conducts screening processes for the teaching positions in the schools division level.
“We have no room for corrupt practices in the education ministry considering that MBHTE consists the largest workforce in the region. We need to dedicate ourselves in serving and working for the education ministry of the Bangsamoro community”, Minister Iqbal concluded.
