The Office of MP Atty. Maisara C. Dandamun-Latiph with the participation of Prof. Glenda B. Orozco-Abdul, a civic actor and faculty at the MSU TCTO participated with Mapun LGU with its Mayor, Hon. Suraida F. Muksin and Councilor Rambie ” Bolong” Sadjiril in the provision of transportation assistance to the two hundred (200) Jama Mapun students of different schools in Bongao, Tawi-Tawi who have been stranded in their respective dormitories during the ECQ.
The Office shouldered and chartered the transportation cost of the Boat for the students with the participation of Municipality of Mapun.
Most of the students are from MSU Tawi-Tawi College of Technology and Oceanography, including Mahardika Institute of Technology, Notre Dame of Bongao, Pangasinan High School, Tawi-Tawi School of Arts and Trades, and Tawi-Tawi Regional Agricultural College.
The students were among those adversely affected by the COVID-19 health crisis during ECQ. In the duration they were taken cared by the MSU TCTO Chancellor Mary Joyce Guinto- Sali for their food and other necessities.
The Office of MP Maisara would like to expand its help to the most in need constituents of BARMM during this time of crisis.
On the other hand an extra ordinary initiative of MSU TCTO OPLAN MOLEH is to help students to be with their parents considering geographical location. Having the same humanitarian intention their office joined the MSU TCTO Oplan Moleh for Jama Mapun students.
This endeavor is also in collaboration with MSU TCTO, PLGU headed by Gov. Mang Sali of Tawi-Tawi who provided financial ang moral support to each student, the MOH Tawi-Tawi and the concerned LGUs headed by Hon. Mayor Jimuel S. Que of Bongao and Hon. Mayor Suraida F. Muksin of Mapun.
