Sixty-six (66) Morits from Islamic Endowment Foundation of the Philippines/WAQF, Jamiatu Muslim Mindanao, and Mahad Marawi received educational assistance from the Office of MP Atty. Maisara C. Dandamun-Latiph in partnership with Adopt a Morit Program by Hijab for a Cause.
The payout was implemented under the Siyap ko Morit: MP Maisara’s Scholarship Program for Morit.
This scholarship aims to provide financial assistance to morits who are financially constrained and struggling in sustaining their studies.
“Alhamdulillah, dahil malaki ang naitulong saakin ng programang ito. nabawasan yong problima ng aking mga magulang sa aking mga gastusin katulad ng pambayad sa exam na naging dahilan upang maipag patuloy mag aral ng Islam.”, said Norhana, one of the recipients of the scholarship.
“Nag papasalamat ako sa opisina ni MP Maisara at sa kaniyang mga staff dahil isa sila sa naging daan ng aking pag-aaral, alam kung marami silang programa at Alhdulillah dahil nasali itong pagtulong sa mga Morit.”, She added.
