4TH Batch of Joint Peacekeeping Team Begins Training

The fourth batch of Joint Peace and Security Team members began their stringent month-long peacekeeping training here on Tuesday, November 9.

Major General Francisco Ariel Felicidario III and Deputy Minister Von Al Haq, co-chairs of the Joint Peace and Security Committee, the body that oversees and develops operational policies and guidelines for JPSTs, officially endorsed 139 JPST trainees to Police Colonel Arnold Razote, head of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region Training Center.

Of the new trainees, 46 personnel are from PNP, 34 from the Armed Forces of the Philippines , and 59 from Moro Islamic Liberation Front – Bangsmoro Islamic Armed Forces.

The Joint training of the Government of the Philippines and MILF security forces aim to equip the JPST members with needed knowledge and skills to effectively carry out their mandate of ensuring peace and security in areas mutually identified by both parties.
