Two hundred and thirty-nine (239) college students from different municipalities in Lanao del Sur received educational assistance from the Parliament Atty. Maisara C. Dandamun-Latiph in partnership with the Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD).
This is part of MP Maisara’s Transitional Development Impact Fund (TDIF) project funded by the Bangsamoro Government under the leadership of Chief Minister Ahod Ibrahim, Al-Haj.
This assistance is dubbed as Angat Bangsamoro: Kabataan Tungo sa Kaunlaran (ABK) Program. Each of the beneficiaries received assistance amounted to Php 10,000.
The beneficiaries expressed their utmost gratitude to MP Maisara, mentioning that the cash assistance would help them in their educational expenses since most of the classes are done online brought by the pandemic and cannot fund their education.
Jehan, a college student from Marawi City, said “Ngayong pandemic subrang laki ng expenses namin, aside from load expenses kailangan din naming bumili ng gadget.”
“Makakatulong din ito sa parents ko kasi medyo mababawasan na rin yon problema nila sa pambayad ko ng tuition ko this semester”, She added.
Beneficiaries of the ABK program have gone through a rigorous assessment and validation process.
Safety and Health protocols for necessary mass gathering given by the IATF were followed during the conduct of the payout.
